TARIFF - The SP Low Tension tariff rate decreased to 18.88 cents per kWh for the quarter of 1 April 2007 to 30 June 2007.
FUEL OIL PRICE - Except for the period of December 2006 to January 2007, fuel oil price has been on the rise for the six months ending May 2007. Please click here for the chart.
POOL PRICE - During the period between December 2006 to May 2007, pool price first increased but later fell back towards the second half.

| | Tuas Power Ltd Acquires 60% Stake In NewEarth | Tuas Power Ltd has entered into a joint venture with Water and Environmental Technologies Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Beng Kuang Marine Limited, through an investment in environmental recycling firm, NewEarth Pte Ltd (“NewEarth”).
NewEarth was established to own, build and operate commercial waste treatment plants. The construction of the first commercial plant is expected to commence in end 2007 with operations beginning in end 2008. When fully operational, the plant will be able to process approximately 10,000 tons of waste materials monthly.
NewEarth uses the “Crystallisation Technology”, which transforms industrial waste materials into environmental-friendly value-added products that can be used in construction, reclamation and road building.
The business of NewEarth is in line with Tuas Power’s objective of growing the group's business in environment-friendly technologies, which began with the provision of trigeneration services in November last year. With the acquisition of NewEarth, Tuas Power will continue to build up its capabilities as a diversified solutions provider in electricity, utilities and environmental services. |
